Each model of snowboard bindings is offered in different sizes which are normally S-M-L.
Some exceptions also include the XS and XL.
Straight first.
It is very important to choose the right size. The safest and most effective method is to have your own snowboard boot, put it on and try the binding.
The bands of the snowboard binding must close easily, wrap and tighten the boot without ever reaching the limit.
The snowboard binding plate should hold the boot without allowing it to move.
WARNING: this is the most important and delicate part. Dedicate time and a lot of attention to it.
So don’t be ashamed to show up in a store with your snowboard boots or, if you buy online, make sure you can make a return!
Second tip.
All snowboard bindings are compatible or adaptable with any board.
The only exceptions are some Burton models, those with the initials EST.
So don’t bring limits. The market offers many very valid products that are compatible with any table.
ATTENTION: The snowboard binding and boot are the fundamental elements of the equipment. They are the interface between rider and snowboard! As a result, dedicate a significant portion of your budget to these items whether you want to buy or rent them.

This category includes all those bindings that allow you to attach your boot to the binding without having to bend over, as skiers normally do.
So far so simple. Then, rightly, each manufacturer created its own system.
Of these systems we could, for simplicity, distinguish two macro categories.
The first is the system that provides for a fixed plate and spoiler on the board and built-in bands on the boot. Burton calls it step on while k2 step in; both very good and designed to have almost the same feeling as a traditional binding.
It is important to know that you have to buy binding and boot together and of the same brand. An exception is Burton, which also has the possibility to choose a DC boot.
The
Among all those proposed, the Nidecker Supermatic stood out for its ease of use and performance.
We 6.9 snowboard instructors have tried the various systems described above and we can assure you that they are effective and performing. Clearly the Nidecker Supermatic, unlike the others, have the advantage of being able to use your own boots, which is why we also have it for rent at the 6punto9 SNOWHOUSE in Passo del Tonale.
All these tips aim to focus attention on the most important aspects of snowboard bindings.
For further insights, we will do zoom evenings in which the 6.9 snowboard instructors will talk about snowboard equipment.
