The task of snowboard socks is not only to protect from the cold but also and above all to let the foot breathe.
In addition, some socks reduce muscle and joint tension to prevent pain and injury.
So terry cloth “socks” or thick ones that keep you so warm, except for a sporadic day, are not so recommended.
Even using two socks is not a good idea, the risk is that moisture is created and consequently our feet will suffer.
For those who spend many days on the snowboard, socks made of breathable fibers are more suitable, a fundamental feature also for technical underwear and other snowboard garments.
Other important parameters you should consider are anatomical adaptability and comfort.
The advice is to prefer a sock with flat seams that do not cause discomfort / itching and make sure that the lower part is anatomical so that it better adapts to the shape of your foot.
Another technical feature that you should evaluate is the presence of reinforcements that ensure good protection for the points most exposed to tension, such as calves and ankles.
