At 6punto9 we have always paid particular attention to “social sustainability”, but not only. Having been born “a few years ago” at almost 1300 meters, I would certainly say also to the environmental one.
Never before have we found the word sustainability as if it were parsley, almost everywhere!
Are you doing something?
After this somewhat provocative question, I would like to share with you what I have always been carrying out in the 6.9 world.
“IF I CAN DO THIS I CAN DO EVERYTHING”
This is the motto of SportABILI, which for 25 years in Predazzo has been committed to offering sports activities in favor of people with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities.
SportABILIis an important element between the world of people with disabilities and that of “apparently able-bodied” people starting from where the gap seems greatest: the world of sport and recreational activities. Through this world, people with disabilities are demonstrating their potential, sometimes unexpressed due to the lack of the possibility of exercising it.
We have experienced all this firsthand first as teachers and then over time becoming supporters and friends.
We met them in 2014 and from there our collaboration and friendship began.
Our “Nevolino” project or a magazine to raise funds, free trials for members, donations and finally on our website, when booking the camps, the possibility of making a small donation to this fantastic association!
Since last year, by subscribing to our snowboardcamps you can donate 5/10€ in favor of this association. However, we do not want to stop there. In fact, we at 6punto9 add the same amount to the total amount donated by all of you enrolled in the camps.
We have wonderful memories with every person we have met, teaching them snow and spending indelible moments.
All our gratitude goes to them for what they have taught us and shown!
It has always been very natural for us to convey our passion and love for snow and the mountains. With each of them we laughed and joked. Seeing happiness on their faces and in their eyes at the end of the day makes us understand the power of cooperation and fills our hearts with joy.
I can assure you that for me, but also for Matteo, Lidia, Jonny and Depe they were wonderful days in the name of total normality.
